Music Production

The music production programme aims to equip students with technical proficiency and vocabulary to create, produce, edit, record and mix professional quality music and audio.

A music producer/audio engineer may be able to use the appropriate equipment to produce the required soundscapes, however it takes a different type of expertise to engage the listener emotionally. Apart from acquiring technical knowledge, students will be exposed to the realm of music and audio aesthetics.

The programme is designed to deliver a solid technical base in audio production, the parlance to critically listen and critique soundscapes (the art and science), and to equip every students with the ability to appreciate sonic aesthetics. With this, students will be able to produce audio that delivers the emotional appeal.
